Here is n article from the PB POST:

Seth Adams, shot by deputies, arrives at hospital 47 minutes later and dies, records show

By Adam Playford

Sun June 3, 6:33PM
The Loxahatchee Groves man killed by an undercover Palm Beach County sheriff's officer three weeks ago was shot four times and required 47 minutes to travel 15 miles to an area hospital, medical records released to The Palm Beach Post by an attorney for his family show.

Sgt. Michael Custer shot Seth Adams twice in the chest, once in the abdomen and once in the forearm just before midnight May 16, the records show.

Adams, 24, called his sister-in-law to tell her he'd been shot at 11:41 p.m. He arrived unconscious at St. Mary's Medical Center in West Palm Beach by helicopter at 12:28 a.m. May 17, according to the records .

He died at 1:58 a.m., said Robert Saylor, an attorney for Adams' family.

The new records do little to shed light on the central mysteries of the case - now the subject of an independent state review - in which Adams was killed by Custer in the parking lot of his family's store, A One Stop Garden Shop.

But they provide parts of a clearer timeline of the final hours of Adams' life. What happened during those hours has become increasingly contentious.

Attorneys for the family say that after Adams was shot, sheriff's deputies failed either to help him or stem his bleeding. Instead, they restrained his brother and sister-in-law, who had run to them seeking help after Adams' phone call, the attorneys said.

By then, Adams had crawled about 300 feet - the length of a football field - away from the deputies, Saylor said, and had collapsed in bushes.

Still unknown to the family and public: How did Adams got so far away from Custer after the shooting?

"Seth lay there bleeding, and nobody from the sheriff's office would go down and see if he was OK or render any kind of aid," Saylor said.

Sheriff Ric Bradshaw has said Custer was performing surveillance in the area of A Road and Okeechobee Boulevard, and that he identified himself as a deputy and acted properly. He shot Adams after the two had a confrontation in the garden shop's parking lot.

Bradshaw also said there was no delay in getting Adams help. In an interview Saturday, the sheriff said paramedics were called by radio "immediately" after the shooting.

Before flying him to St. Mary's, paramedics would have needed to examine Adams, then transport him by ambulance to the nearest safe helicopter landing site, sheriff's officials said.

At about 15 miles northeast of the shooting site, St. Mary's is the closer of Palm Beach County's two trauma centers that handled patients flown in by Trauma Hawk. The other, at Delray Medical Center, is about 30 miles southeast of the A Road site.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue has not yet released information on when it responded and when Adams was transported.

On Friday, Bradshaw asked the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to conduct an independent review of the investigation, citing the unusualness of the case, with no video evidence of what happened and only one alive witness: Custer.

"There's nothing to hide here," Bradshaw said. "We're open to another agency taking a look at it."

While that review takes place, the family has begun requesting records documenting the response to the shooting. And "more than anything, we want to hear Custer's own words about what happened," Saylor said.

If there is proof that the shooting was unjustified, "I can guarantee you that there will be a lawsuit," he added. "But we don't know, until we get those reports."

Staff writer Alexandra Seltzer contributed to this story.

The post is questioning it too. How did he Make a phone call? Where was Custer? WTF? Bradshaw still says it was a good shoot but in all my years ive never heard of something like this. Seth was off calling his family to get some help and I bet Custer was off talking to Ricand Fog trying to get a little help of his own for a cover up.

How could Custer let this man, shot 4 times, crawl 300'+ and during the crawl, make at least 2 phone calls? Waiting for a bleed out? But Ric says that its a good shoot?????? Highly doubtful. But what ever Ric wants, Ric gets. Im sure Ernie and the good ole boys @ FDLE will be able to find no fault with the shooting. Thats because Ernie has bought a paid for Bradshaw with a $10K bundled reelection contribution. Looks like Custer being a FOG paid off for him.
The post is questioning it too. An investigation by an independent agency can be requested from Governor Rick Scott. Anyone can make the request. There is no guarantee the request will be granted, but it may be worth a shot. Written requests should be sent to: Office of Governor Rick Scott, State of Florida, The Capitol, 400 S. Monroe Street, Tallahassee, FL 32399-0001.

With the neighbor hearing tires squealing as if someone was leaving the scene,I'm liking your possible senerio of events. The g/f had to skidattle.Brandshaw says he welcomes the FDLE investigation, why not?He sits on a board there, besides I think Mr.Custer should be put to the lie detector test.I certainly hope they find out who authorized Custer's surveillance and what it was for in that little corner of the world.Custer was getting some late night trim.I'm not sure about him getting fired for having sex while on duty. There would be a bunch gone then.An on duty officer drove out of his jurisdiction numerous times down south for that,he's still on the job.

Wait until you hear the radio transmissions thats if Lady Gaga and Bradcock haven't 'doctored' them up yet? By the way where are they? A lot will tell what happened when Custard called this in I'm sure...hmmm that is unless his first call was to Lady Gaga? No, why would that be....why would the shot suspect be able to crawl 300ft on his belly to his death???? Did he call 911 or his brother before Custard even called anyone but Lady Gaga? Too many unanswered questions Dic, if I was you I would call my buddies at FDLE to see how we fix this Custer Fuckk now... oh and Dic dont forget to remove the on-duty calls from Custrad to the girlfriends....

I predict the FDLE investigation will find no wrongdoing, and here's why: Bradshaw is absolutely locked into the determination that Custer did nothing wrong. The Sheriff, before any investigation could even really begin, got on TV and showed the media and the whole world the Tactical shirt Custer was wearing----all the while proclaiming Custer's actions as 100% in policy and appropriate given the situation. Now, if the FDLE investigation finds anything other than the story Bradshaw's been giving the media then he's got serious credibility problems with the voters. Very simply, Bradshaw cannot politically afford to have this situation explode any more than it already has. The very fact that he's called FDLE in shows the desperate nature of the situation already. Why, if nothing is wrong Sheriff, would you call in FDLE----something you have NEVER done before, even with the other questionable shootings (Peixoto, just for one example) Sheriff, you didn't even call in another agency (FHP) over the Manuel-Wallace case.
Ok, so we have established that Bradshaw is in a pickle....but why am I so sure that FDLE won't find wrongdoing? Because Bradshaw is quite possibly the most powerful Sheriff in this State. His position on CJSTC and friendship with Ernie George make Bradshaw a phenom in the politics of Florida law enforcement, and this is an election year. While I don't believe Bradshaw will surreptitiously control the investigation, I do believe that just him being who he is makes the investigation complete. In my opinion, the only chance for a real, impartial, fair investigation will be through the civil process by the Adams family. I hope the truth comes out.

I had seen some pretty Increditable postings on this site but this thread takes the cake. I am saddened that my fellow brothers in this profession would by into the overwhelming misinformation that is out there on this case. Yes it is a tragedy that Seth Adams lost his life......but it has been my experience that business owners are almost overwhelmingly glad to see a deputy near by their business. Secondly I can tell you with out a dought Sgt. Custer was on a very real survalence. How about we all wait for all the facts to come out before you hitch a ride on te band wagon. In closing to whom ever the coward who attempted to put Sgt. Clusters personal info you sir may you get yours many times over.

Business owners are happy to see deputies but not banging some hoe in their parking lot. They don't really appreciate it when you shoot their kids either. Please tell me what they were doing surveillance on smarty. Unless it was the Adams property they weren't seeing anything. I was there when Fattie Mike was running around the crime scene, touching everything, making it a point to find and disturb the shell casings and making any real investigation impossible to stand up in court. I thought things were not right at the scene and I still think so more than ever.

If you're so sure about everything, explain how Custer could shoot an unarmed man 4 times, then let him crawl 300 feet and make multiple phone calls to his family for help? And who was driving the 2nd car that squealed out of the parking lot? The decent men and women of the Sheriff's Office that are trying to defend this scenario should be embarrassed that they've lost their moral compass and for what - a dirt bag over-the-hill sheriff. There comes a time when you have to stand up for what is right, not what is convenient.

LOXAHATCHEE, FLORIDA (PALM BEACH COUNTY)
MAY 16TH 2012
http://www.change.org/petitions/police-shooting-needs-fair-investigation

Seth Adams returned home after his weekly Texas Hold 'Em game to find a car parked on his property. The car ended up being an unmarked car of an undercover detective. From this point no one can be clear on what happened because only one of these people is alive. The UNARMED owner of the property was shot four times by the undercover officer. Twice in the chest...one in the abdomen and one in the forearm or Three times in the chest and once in the abdomen...there have been conflicting stories. Within 48 hours the county sheriff appeared on the news making the following statement "if you choose to confront....and then assault an officer you need to be prepared to suffer the consequences"

Please note that after the Sheriffs FULL investigation...he was asked how many shots were fired and his answer was I DON'T KNOW....no I can not comment....but I DON'T KNOW!

Per the Sheriff the deputies accounts are as follow: (keep in mind there are no witnesses to dispute this....so we DO NOT know if it is the truth.)

Mr. Adams rolled down his window, as did the officer, Mr. Adams asked who he was and what he was doing there....the officer identified him self...both men exited their vehicles and a physical altercation began. Mr. Adams lunged at the officer....(14-year-veteran) the officer pushed him to the ground and pulled his weapon...Mr. Adams got up from the ground..walked towards his truck reached through the window and as he turned around the officer shot him 4 times.

There is a story in a New York paper that includes statement from the Sheriffs office...and there are some differences in the two statements.

Following the shooting...this we know....Mr. Adams made two phone calls to his brother (who lived on this property with him), was able to get 300 feet away from the officer. At some point during this time the officer called for back up, and possibly medics.

The family story is this....they received the phone call from Mr. Adams...thought the first one was a joke....Mr. Adams again called and the brother and his wife went outside to find him laying on the ground bleeding...with no aide being rendered. When the brother went to go towards Mr. Adams they were forced to the ground by officers with assault weapons and told not to go near Mr. Adams. Still no aide being rendered. And the responding officer’s cars were blocking the shortest route for the medics to reach Mr. Adams.

Reports state that it took 47 minutes to get Mr. Adams to the hospital.

What we know as a community...the closest medics are literally one minute down the road. The entrance to the property was blocked by the responding officers’ vehicles making it difficult for them to enter the property to render aide to Mr. Adams. The call to trauma hawk was delayed. Although there were PBSO helicopters flying for at least 30 minutes.

The Sheriff later made the statement that it took time to get Mr. Adams to trauma hawk since he had to be transported to the landing site. The sheriff did not mention (and the community knows) that the landing site is DIRECTLY across the road from Mr. Adams property and has been for years and it would be quicker to walk him there than load him up and drive him there.

Although the officers took the surveillance video from the property (the property is also a business) with what is now a questionable warrant... they appeared to be blank. There is no surveillance video from the officers’ vehicle.

It was said by the Sheriffs spokesperson the night of the shooting that the Sheriffs Office did NOT know the officer was on this private property (the parking lot of the business) or what he was doing there. It has since been said that the officer was conducting surveillance of the Western Communities, although per their statements...the business was not being investigated. There is really nothing else around this business.

It is also important to know that not one person that knows Mr. Adams agrees that he ever would have gotten physical (or lunged at) in officer. That he was very mild mannered and polite. There have hundreds of statements regarding the type of character he had. AND NO ONE has stepped up disputing them.

The Attorney Generals office has been contacted...they say the can not assist....the governors office has been contacted...they say they can not assist and directed us back to the Sheriff...well we are not so trusting of him at this point.

The Sheriff came out a week or so later and stated that he would turn the investigation over to FDLE, not that he didn't defend his deputy 100% but to calm the fears of the community and family. He failed to mention that he is the Vice-chairman of the CJSTC and his buddy from West Palm Beach is the Chairman.

Letters have been sent to the FDLE committee and the States Attorney, with no response.

There have since been 3 shootings by PBSO. Two fatal. Now all three of these cases have witnesses & two of these cases include shots being fired at the officers....and Sheriff Bradshaw is using these as examples to compare to the Seth Adams case, even though the events are totally different. Mind you the third (& fatal) shooting has eyewitness accounts that differ from Sheriffs statement and those are being ignored.

Please note: The Sheriff has been at the scene of all three of these recent shootings, but was NOT at the scene of the Seth Adams shooting. And has not, nor as any other investigator, spoken to the family concerning their accounts of that night.

It seems to me that if the shooter in the Seth Adams case was not an officer this whole thing would have gone very different....and maybe the news would be more forceful in their reporting. But the community is having a hard time getting this story out there. We are left wondering if we have to create a mob scene as in the Trayvon case to get attention. There was a piece on the news one night regarding the medical report of Mr. Adams....that did not shine a good light on the officer....but it has since disappeared, as has the whole press conference with the Sheriff. A family member of Mr. Adams was smart enough to video the medical report clip and has posted it on FB...but that is the only place you can find it.

Travon case got attention because of the mob scene. White people are too dignified for this and that's the problem. The squeaky grease gets the wheel and you people aren't being squeaky. You talked about a protest but did it happen? No. It was more important that you catch your Monday night episode of desperate housewives or whatever the hell you people watch. Did you picket? No. You had better things to do. I believe Seth Adams' death was wrong and a tragedy but if you people don't give a sh1t enough to show the world your outrage, then why should anyone else, including the media, give a sh1t? When you start caring enough to get off your asses and do something to show how angry you are, people and media will take note like they did with travon. Stop being lazy and show you care or stop crying that others don't care.

I personally believe there are no police you can trust. I feel so bad for the family because these scumbags we pay to protect us and enforce the laws are all self serving and could care less about who they screw with in the community. Citizens beware it's time to protect yourselves and your family, No one should rely on or expect help when calling them. Got to thinking whoever compaired cops to pigs had it right on!
