Article in the post shows Cano and PBSO as being sued federally. Why did Campbell pick up the gun before taking a picture of it? Why was the dead man's DNA not on the gun? Demario over ruled the K9 unit and gave Cano a K9 position because he is friends of the family, taking a dog away from another deputy who it was already assigned to and giving it to Cano.

Fucking place is a fucking joke.

Original poster got his names wrong but facts correct. PBSO is being sued, campbell did move the gun before taking pics, dead mans DNA not found on the gun, Demario did take a dog away from a deputy it was already assigned to in order to give it to a friend of the family. Those are facts.

"Demario did take a dog away from a deputy it was already assigned to in order to give it to a friend of the family. Those are facts".

I still find this outrageous. If true, Demario never owned a dog. Or, is heartless and likely both.
It may have been something personal against the original K9 DS.

Even if the wanton's and intent is there, a good leader wants to at least appear to be fair, as to not to start up a conversation like this, or to diminish the respect he needs to lead the ranks who know about this.

I would have advised DeMario not to take such action because its simply not prudent for long term leadership.
