PBA INC Its all about the $$$

The Latest Report... 1 of 3

Name: Florida PBA Inc (2015) 990 Charity Report

$4.8 million revenue raised via dues n 2015
-$1.8 million in PBA salaries (includes $18k for Kaz and $49k for Ernie George) 22 employees 1 of 3 salaries via charity
-$208k fundraising expense
-$1.6 million for legal fees
-$147k for travel expenses
$258k balance

With 22,911 PBA members, after expenses are paid there is only an average of $11.27 per member remaining…..

BUT WAIT. The Florida PBA Inc. has $6.6 million in Assets which includes $5.3 million in publically traded securities.
You mean the PBA has $5.3 million in CASH? That’s a lot of dues over the years.

If the goal is to

“TO PROMOTE PROFESSIONALISM AMONG LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS, TO INFLUENCE THE YOUTH OF FLORIDA IN AN EFFORT TO COMBAT DELINQUENCY, TO FURTHER POLICE-COMMUNITY RELATIONS, AND TO REPRESENT OFFICERS AND OTHER PUBLIC EMPLOYEES IN THE LEGAL, LABOR, LEGISLATIVE, AND POLITICAL MATTERS WHICH AFFECT THE LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSION, AND/OR THE INTERESTS AND WELL BEING OF OTHER PUBLIC EMPLOYEES”

Why are they hording $5.3 million in cash. Why have a golf tournament, a ball and other fund raising events with this much $$$. When a cop needs help why are we having extra fundraising events if this much $$$ is around now.

This is no longer a non-profit organization. The liquid assets are too high to be in a non-profit status. General membership is not benefiting from this excess.

This is a profitable business supported by many for the benefits of a few.

Severe tax complications from IRS if status is changed.

Since 2015 Kaz has gotten raises on his Florida PBA "Vice President" salary. He also gets a Florida PBA "clothing allowance" and a Florida PBA expense account. Kaz also has been giving himself 5% raises every January on top of his Palm Beach County PBA President salary, the one he wrote for himself on top of the $120,000/year on the "full time release" salary he was getting the whole time and that he had the stones to double for himself per policy to a Career Deputy 2, Step 5, when he "retired". When he was on "full time release" he was pulling down 3 "full time" salaries and was never around for anybody! He also gets a Palm Beach County PBA clothing allowance and a Palm Beach County PBA expense account, and a brand new Palm Beach County PBA vehicle and free gas. Kaz's wife has been on the PBA payroll too for more then a dozen years as a "Office Assistant" and drives Kaz's first PBA paid for vehicle around (that white BMW 750) and gets free gas on a PBA credit card. (That's way more then half a million dollars in PBA members dues just for her!!!). Add in all the "free" air travel and hotel accommodations, unlimited "free" food and drinks for him and his family, "free" cigars, "free" green fees, ect for all those "PBA charity events" he was getting paid triple to go to while on "full time release" for 12 years and you're at more then $4 million. That doesn't include all the triple paid vacation cruises and resort "conferences" he is always away on (with the wife whose getting paid on them too), all the "free" golf clubs, golf bags, golf shoes, golf shirts, he buys on the PBA credit card from the Kazanjian's family business ("Whirlaway Golf Center" in Methuen, MA) for himself and spreads around to his pals (including Sheriff Bradshaw) and the free PBA fuel going into his boat (another PBA "business expense") and you're up over $5 million. That's just what is out in plain view.

One should wonder how Ric Bradshaw has been able to effectively run the PBA. Well when you take law enforcement officers in rank (both Ernie and Kaz were sergeants in their respective depts.) and allow them to collect full salary and benefits while not doing their jobs, then collecting full salary and benefits from the paying members of the PBA, who is going to go against the man?

The only hope PBSO/PBA had was Mike Kletsky, who was a rebel rouser. That is why he was elected as a rep. Unfortunately Mike fell in with the clique and started drinking the koolaide. He came around to their thinking so much they made his president of the PBSO unit. No election as it should have been, just an appointment and we better be happy. The PBA hired Kletsky's wife and all of a sudden Mike goes on a spending spree. New cars, new toys, new pool at his house, renovations galore. Was all that on the PBA dime? I bet it was. Time to wake up people!

Crimes are being committed right before your eyes. Are you stupid or just afraid to speak out? I guess afraid because who can you go to? David Aronberg, our State Attorney is part of the criminal conspiracy. Most of our county commissioners are part of it. Local FBI is definitely in on the games. The next sheriff, David Kerner, can we trust him or has he gone to the dark side also?. I guess we are screwed.

Mike let his soul get bought at a bargain price by Kaz. Just put his wife on the PBA payroll and picking up some tabs and Mike forgot where he came from. Forgot about getting targeted by Bieluch's IA for his escapades out west with the Gang Unit. Mike forgot about who was the only guy that stood up for him in the IA and over at the PBA too, and didn't do shit when Kaz fired Lippman. Lost cause. Dan Glissen's the guy who should be running things over at the PBA, but there's never going to be a secret ballot election. The words "PBA" and "secret ballot election" make Kaz pee his shorts. The guy has never been "elected" since Earnie George appointed him and he knows if there was a secret ballot election tomorrow he would lose. Kaz is next in line to be appointed as the next Florida PBA president, and that will put his tiny hands on another big salary on top of the one he wrote for himself as Palm Beach County PBA president, and give him use of another big pot of money he won't have to account for.

The little sellout is up for re-"appointment" this coming November or December. Somebody on the County PBA Board of Directors needs to get nominated and run against him. That will end the Kazanjian Error. A new PBA president can run on a ticket to clean out the whole County Executive Board Kaz hand-picked to protect him. PBA down in Miami-Dade grew a set and voted out their President Rivera after 25 years on full-time release and multiple salaries as Florida PBA President too. Kaz needs to be fired. Then an audit can get done, and maybe even an investigation into what he's been doing all those years on full-time release, all those PBA credit card purchases and that deal with Bradshaw to hand him $45,000 in "unused" time off. Scheme to Defraud? ;)

Maybe if we stem the tide with The PBA, it would improve conditions for the ranks, and all would improve.
Because the conditioning process in which PBA members under go, transfers to the treatment of the general public at large. A change at the upper levels may end up saving millions in settlements for some of the harmful acts bestowed upon the public at large, by those chared with protecting the public.

All of the built up frustrations as listed in these posts, surely takes its toll on the emotional stability of our deputies. And hence, manifests itself as a driving force to do harm on others.
The question becomes, .

(at what cost)? (and to whom)
Perhaps the Shootings, Beatings, Thefts, Frauds, and Child Trafficking committed by some deputies, can be traced to the way the deputies are treated, while under the cultural influence of the corrupted scum bags who run the operations. Those in charge, ae traitors to The Bill of Rights. And hence, " deadly enemies.

A total flush from the top down may be the only solution to cure the ills.

Just a thought.

Never! And even if they were to hold some type of election it would rigged.... just like everything else the PBA touches. This place is in need of a spring cleaning. These guys won’t wake up until you .... the individual deputy wakes up and demands accountibility. The only way out is to vote out the PBA.

Why doesn’t the PBA present retirees with a nice gift when they leave like the FD does? If you have been paying dues for 20-30 years you would think they could splurge for a handgun in a case or something?

The PBA has been buying retirement gifts for years! They buy them all at Whirlaway Golf Center and sporting goods in Methuen, Mass (owned by a guy named Kazanjian) and they all go to Ernie George and Kaz and anybody Kaz thinks may try to run against him. Very high end putters and clubs, golf bags, golf shoes, and shirts. All paid for on John Kazanjian's PBA credit card backed by your PBA dues. He can't deny it and that's why theres never going to be a real election for PBA president. Kaz makes sure he appoints enough PBA reps (Kaz Jr included) to keep reappointing him PBA president so theres never going to be a audit too. Broward deputies got tired of the looting and just voted the whole PBA out of BSO, That new union down there lets the members vote for their union president!

That covers personal property, evidence, and spouses for that matter.
I got a new squeeze @ work.
Maybe I can UN-load my wife at Gun Club. :)

Elected PBA representatives can put an end to all this speculation and allegations by just demanding an audit of THEIR "union". Why would Kaz and his Crony Executive Board object to busting open the books on the PBA credit cards and check book?

But they need to represent The PBA, not the members.
Enjoy the subliminal protections the membership offers. The hands quicker than the eye.

Making no-show PBA jobs for family and friends, smoking cigars and golfing on PBA members dues money is what got the BSO deputies to throw the PBA out of Broward. Trust me, Kaz is scared someone is going to run against him, which is why nominations for PBA president only can be done at an open meeting. He knows the members are more scared then he is.

The last member who asked for a copy of the budget was all of a sudden voted out by the executive board..who by the way vote for the president, not you.

If you want to get rid of the PBA as your bargaining agent, read up on how to do it. There is a very specific amount of time that you have to request a vote of the membership and employees of PBSO, when your current bargaining agreement is coming to an end. Get your people ready to sign in agreement for this vote and get the information on this criminal enterprise out to everyone so things can change.

Other then bbq and Monday Night Football where's >$300k per month in dues going? 180 days or so before your contract runs out you can start signing special little PERC cards that say you want a new election for a new union to represent you. Public Employee Relations Commission does the rest. PERC does a totally secret ballot in the mail that goes up to Tally and Kaz and Bradshaw don't get to see any of the cards. BSO and most of the departments in Broward already got rid of the Broward County PBA like that, and PBA is losing elections all over Florida because of the same stuff Kazanjian's been doing, like making himself and his family rich by selling-out the PBA members Bradshaw targets. Kaz firing Attorney Lippman should a woke everybody.
