That's because she was asked to cover-up the judicial malfeasance of another "Rick Scott" appointee. (Judge Howard Coates).
The other corrupted and appointed judge, (Judge Howard Coates), paid - off Gov. Rick Scott, by funneling $ 15,000.00 with a family member, and a business partner to avoid appearances.

Rick Scott was paid off through contributions, made in leiu, for Judge Coates "appointed position" on the bench that he, Judge Howard Coates, continues tarnish and abuse the elderly, minor's, and those who report abuses.
These politician judges, are thieves, con artists, and professional child traffickers for those willing to pay them.
They will use their court to persecute those who report child abuses by high level county employees.

Judge Howard Coates and Judge Rosemary Scherer are both despicable persons, and completely corrupted county officials.
Its too bad because Judge Rosemary Scherer had the capacity to be an honest judge, but that's a dead end for judges in The 15th.
